Best regards,
That’s great advice Bill.

Hey Michael, speaking from personal experience the best thing you can do is spend hours reading and learning from members and their posts here on WAF and maybe even GHW

Their knowledge is quite amazing and the perfect addition to any books, web or doccos up can watch on the subject.

Feedback is straightforward and after a while the reasons for the feedback become understandable as your knowledge increases.

Enjoy the learning, but more importantly the benefit of knowing the collectable you now own is without doubt an original historical piece.

Cheers and have fun!

Sorry about the helmet. If you're looking for an authentic example of a camo German helmet I'd suggest staying off of Gunbroker. There are just much better places to find helmets and then, as the others have suggested, have them authenticated before you purchase.

I want to thank all of you for your feedback on this as it has been learning experience. I have already taken your advice and have spent several hours looking through the threads in the forums here. The humorous part of this is the fact that I have spent most of my life watching over thieves and con-men so I should have known better. Besides the good advice that you all have given is there any books that you could recommend to help in my education of purchasing authentic helmets?
