Now compared with WW2 Polizei pants...

Definitely German, but are they WW2 waffenrock jaeger/GJ/Schutzen pants?
or early post war BGS?

Could also be a Bundeswehr private purchase trouser from the 60s... Piped trousers were worn in the German Army between 1963 and 1970 and the grey colour looks quite BW like.... the green piping was used by the infantry branch.

I agree it is most likely BW private purchase. Definitely not BGS and it doesn't look like any Polizei trousers I can think of. Although, isn't there a 1950s/60s Bavarian uniform (Zoll or something?) that used a similar grayish wool?
