Thanks for your post. I really like the older caps for the reason you mentioned. I have a few more here to post and a lot more in storage. Some day I'll be able to post them as well.

Trust me, I know all about it. At one time when I was collecting uniforms (pre divorce) I had 150 hats & helmets with corresponding uniforms from Germany.

It's addictive !!!!!

The sweat shield on the Neidersachsen cap does not appear to have any visible markings. I'll know better once it arrives. The Rheinland-Pfalz cap is well marked.

A Bundesmarine junior officers white topped visor cap c/w another white top and a blue top which appears to have an early maker mark in it.
