Smile new agfacolor color slides showing german Paras

Hi guys.

I was lucky to find 2 original agfacolor color slides (farbdias) in my local Flea Market showing german Paras.. well the same guy in 2 shots.
Findind period color slides or film of paras is very tricky so im delighted every time I can add a new one to my slide collection.

Thought you guys might enjoy this
Best wishes.
Ian

Very interesting, i wonder whats the meaning of the add. shoulder button (does not looks like there are loops for shoulderboards), and the frontal button?
Looks like there is something on his right shoulder, is this more visible at the other slide?

Thanks for sharing, Ian!

I noticed the buttons too.

I have no idea what the shoulder button could be (without the loops), but the mid-chest button could be to buckle the leather strap from the binocs to him? or maybe a flashlight?

hi, beautiful color photos. on the parachutist's smock there are buttons on the level of the shoulders, do you know the usefulness of these? I have exactly that on a step-in splinter!

Hi,

Nice. That smock seems to be hand camouflaged with paint .

Happy you like it.

This and 540 other war time agfacolor color slides were 1 !! day away from being put into the bin... lost for ever... The owners told me they were delighted a young irish man wanted to keep them and not have this piece of history destroyed.

I think in the last 17 years.. I have rescued some amazing pieces of color film and history from destruction .. proud
