Default Luftwaffe Generals Cap For Opinions

A new customer came to the store today with a Generals Cap he bought at the last Toronto show from Frank Grant. Just posting it here as the customer would like a 2nd opinion which is fine. We do not like the hat but the customer wanted us to post it

Hat is a Frankenstein.
These "coat of arms" visors were made in the late 80's/early 90s--all were high-rank personality visors, and all were/are bad.

Sweatband is from a repro--it is for Johann Frey.

A PLM + RK winner is certainly irresistible to a collector

Not in this case

Best regards

It would be interesting to see what newspaper portion was placed in the band.

Having read several threads on WAF about Frank Grant, I cannot say I am shocked to see a fake.

Having seen the seller's tables for more than 25 years at 8-10 shows a year, I suspect the sell price was half of the current market value.

Anyone have a picture of Grant? I assume he hits the Max and SOS? Probably a good guy to steer clear of...

Thank you for taking the time to have a look at this cap, greatly appreciated. I hope the buyer is able to get a refund also.

I do not, but he is an SOS/MAX regular (and a "MAX-certified dealer).
