There's a Luftwaffe document group with soldbuch, to a posthumous RK winner for sale for 5750. Pics are too small to post.

I've been looking at that group loads today, but settled for the Pz.Pionier soldbuch under it instead!

Perhaps a few years ago, these items are long sold. Some of the members might have images but most are into the archives of some collection.

The most I ever paid for a Soldbuch was $5,000 for the Soldbuch of Friedrich-Karl Kruetzmann. The second highest amount was for the Soldbuch of General der Flieger Ulrich Kessler, who was the Air Force Commander Atlantic and in 1945, appointed as the Air Attache to Japan. Kessler was captured in the US after U-234 surrendered in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Have a look at the first two and half minutes of this video:

YouTube - Hitler's Last Submarine - U 234 - 6

. . . . and here is Kessler's Soldbuch.

Here you go Jeremy. Typical of Soldbuecher for high-ranking officers, they often weren't updated and the awards were never stamped by any authority.

Here's another one of my sexier and costlier Soldbuecher. Again, note that not all of his units were listed and the awards were never stamped. It's cool to know that this Soldbuch was with von Gablenz when he was in Stalingrad and flew out with him - one of the lucky Generals. Interestingly, von Gablenz was part Jewish.
