What are your opinions on this gas plane? Good or not? Thanks.

Good news, I've bought and paid for it. It is on it's way now. I'll get it in a couple of days, I hope I'll post some pics when I get it. Now I'll need a Tropen pouch to complete the set!

I've got it already. It looks thinner than I thought. I'll post some pics ASAP. BTW, the pouch is green...Is it OK for a tropical Gasplane? or should it be tan?

Nice "cee" maker mark. They made matching tropical pouches as well (the one on the right).

No problem with that. These were used on all fronts so could have green gasplane bag.

Here it is. cee indeed. It has the paper seal still glued? in place. The pouch seems produced in 1945 but difficult to say as is very lightly printed.

It is made of a very thin rubber... I have several more pouches, in blue, grey, green, rubberised and canvas but only one more gasplane...but I can't find it right now. Always the same problem, too little space to store, so when I move something out of place...I can't find it later in the whole mess of my collection

It is not rubber . It is made of celluloid.

Celluloid! I would have imagined celluloid much more rigid and brittle. Thanks for the info

Up with another gasplane. As it is not my area, better ask: What about this one?

TIA,

Carles

Hey Carles,

Totally agree with Giancarlo, the last one shown is rubbish (no problem with the first one shown as others have said)

Are the pictures of the last one yours? If so could I use them on the reproduction part of my site? I often get asked if a gasplane is real and the link sent normally takes me to an ebay auction showing one of these so it would be nice to get a non-ebay example photo.

If you don't own the photos - then no worries.
