Nicely done restoration work on the chair and desk.
The finishes you have chosen have brought them back to life.

That's a really nice army table. I would think that it would restore quite well. You'll have more than enough furniture to completely outfit your house in sturdy period furniture.

Regards,

Ben

Very nice! It's impressive what you have done putting everything together.

As an American soldier stationed in Germany, I slept and worked in former Wehrmacht barracks and even had an apartment in a former Wehrmacht Wohnsiedlung. Unfortunately all such furnishings were long gone by the time I arrived.

Another beautiful piece Unterscharr, congrats.
Just one question, where or what would the basin have drained into?

Wow unterschar. Another great piece.

If I lived in Germany again, I would try to be like you.

Really nice wash stand...especially made by Villeroy and Boch. A 160 km drive would have been worth it.

I have only seen 2 other wash stands in this style (1 army & 1 LW marked) in the last 10 or so years.

Do you have any idea if the wash stands were for meant officers or were they also for enlisted solders?

I still have not been able to run a cross a photo of one of these wash stands in use yet, but I keep watching. I'm sure a photo will eventually turn up.

Ben
