Default Mess kit accessory.

Hello, what is this accessory ? Looks to be a mess kit accessory. It has a shape and dimensions close to M 1931 Mess kit pan. It don't go IN a mess kit because of its diemensions.
Thank you for your help.

And for bread - those tins were used by workers for their lunch break.

There is one of these bread containers pictured on a 1939 edition of Der Sportler, along with a military style canteen, canteen cup and mess kit. Also pictured are various other pieces of aluminum camping/hiking ware: eating utensils, butter container, single egg container, etc., etc..

Fred, if you do an internet image search "Der Sportler 1939", it should pop up. It will most likely be mixed in with images of German athletes, including some of the boxer/Fallschirmjäger Max Schmeling.
