CINCINNATI, Ohio — Stanley P. Houser, 85, of Cincinnati, formerly of York, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Brookdale Place of Kenwood, Cincinnati. He was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Milroy, Pa., a son of the late Adaleene T. (Treaster) and J. Lester Houser. He was married to Ellen H. Houser, who preceded him in death on April 9, 2008. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2007. Mr. Houser graduated from Middleburg High School, Middleburg, Pa., where he was a star athlete and musician. He was known as “Stan the Trumpet Man.” He received his master’s of education degree from Pennsylvania State University. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy from May 1943 to 1946.
