Highly faked PAB maker but they are usually flat backed. I would say this one looks ok.

Appears to almost be double stamped at the eagles head and shoulders. Not unheard of. For me a good "central" marked F&R.

Lost its finish, but still a decent looking F&R. Typical F&R setup.

Not in the best condition, but looks ok to me!

Kind regards,

Thanks for your opinions.

Others told me that the "oval" attachment is typical of a known fake.
Attachment should be rectangular on this item, like this :

what do you think ?

Here is what I have as a variant from this maker. Your badge looks to be lightly stamped when comparing tank turret. Catch is also different on yours. I would revise my opinion to caution needed on this one.

Steagemair does use this type of hinge yes. But this oval hinge is often encountered on the unmarked variants.

I'm the first to admit that a good helping of paranoia is essential in our shared hobby. However the OPs badge is not one of Steagemairs fakes. It is a good example.

Thanks Chet !

You're right, this hobby is adding a small part of paranoia in our life
But sometimes it helps...

Thanks Gentlemen for all your opinions.

I don't think it is paranoid to want to collect only real TD items. As for me collecting about 5 years now the chance of getting taken was most likely at the beginning due to my lack of experience. I go to lots of shows and 90% of the dealers can offer you a faker. Some dealers honestly don't know that the item is a fake, and will give your money back if questioned. Then there are the all out fake dealers who will pick your pocket with a big smile. I will not put out money for questionably items. One is only looking for problems if you ever decide to sell. Just my opinion.
