The angled pocket corners strikes me as Kriegsmarine...

I don't think its nebel the one that I've seen had 5 button front and when buttoned the buttons were not exposed, and it only had 1 breast pocket on the left side with a button down flap and four slits in the belt area 2 in front and 2 in back and metal dish type buttons and a breast eagle I could be wrong though

I think this tunic started out as a regular 4 pocket M42 or M43 drillich tunic and had the pockets altered then, probably to make it into a working jacket, perhaps also for post war use. Does it still show any previous seams?

Cuffs can get rid of. This tunic has to have had 4 pockets once, otherwise the rectangular piece of reinforcement lining on the right chest would have been utterly useless.
