A couple of things that I notice.

The feet of the eagle when compared to an S&L or Deumer are quite different.

The loop for the ring appears rather strange. It appears square rather than rounded.

If it is a fake it's a pretty good one.

To be honest if this is fake, it is scary. The medal looks very fine in hands, this does not seems a die cast copy. The appearance of the eagle is different to St&L but what can this mean in terms of the production?

Did someone start to manufacture these medals using a different design? Overall it does not remind me to the chines copis they sell on eBay at all.

The finish of the "silver" parts on this example are identical to St&L, not the fakes I know - I have attached a photo of the Ostmedaille they seel on eBay.

No problem:

www.ebay.de/itm/113755559047

Also the description is correct by the seller - "Sammleranfertigung".

best regards
