Default Blank elisted shoulderstraps (no cypher)

I put together this display...
(helmet is a camo repaint but original on the inside with original liner and even unit marked!)

Question concerns these red piped ENLISTED shoulder straps (mounted on a 1916 dated greatcoat).
Are blank shoulder straps acceptable? No unit indication....

Something like this?

2nd Foot Guards?
2. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß

2nd Foot Guard in the trenches with what appears to be blank shoulderstraps...

You mentioned the coat is 1916 dated. Is it a period overcoat? If so, is it B.A. marked? The gray collar would make one think that it is Bavarian, in which case, the straps would not seem to be a match.
