Default Pickelhaube lamp

I just picked this up from a 95-year old who had this sitting around her house for the last 70+ years. She herself had the helmet made into a lamp. I haven't taken it apart yet but it looks not to have been damaged too badly by the conversion. I realize it is missing some parts but the leather body looks to be in decent shape. I can see the liner is present. This stuff is still out there waiting to be discovered.

I agree, leave it as is. Was there a lamp shade attached to it?

yes, there was a lamp shade but she wanted to keep it for some reason. Ugly shade with lots of pattern.

Very nice souvenir use item. I have seen steel helmets used as shades. I have a Brodie shade lamp
