Default Bandenkampfabz papers question

Hi

Please help me with this documents.

Bandenkampfabz in silver and bronze, question is about originality and value?

Second question about EK2 doc. why it is not signed? They didnt manage to sign because war was close to end?

At a minimum, I believe the EK2 is fake. Not just due to the lack of signature, but the random hole punches make ZERO sense. I'd be wary of the other 2 docs without solid provenance.

Best

I have my doubts, I thought it was 'hoehere SS u. Polizei Fuehrer', not 'hoechste'?
Edit: 'Polizei Fuehrer' should be two words, not one.

And what about this paper? Also a fake one?

I believe that would be correct - bronce, silber, then gold. "Bronce" can be a correct spelling for "bronze".

However, if the doc is unsigned, once again very skeptical.

I put the link to militariatedesca because there is a doc for bandenkampfabz for the same SS Pol Reg 15 that I have for EK2 with no signature. That is interesting both doc not signed.

The spelling "Der Hochste SS-und polizeifuhrer in italien" is the same as in my document.

The provenance of this documents is good - but It is always good to ask.

Maybe You have bandenkampfabz doc to compare?

Thank You

Piotr

Hello,

For me the document Silber of the SS Pol. Rgt. 24 is good. Identical document presented in the book of Tucker "German Combat Badges of the Third Reich" volume 1, page 182. Greetings.

Bronce in German? I have never seen that... do you have a document where Bronze is spelled Bronce? I have only seen the spelling in Switzerland, but never in Germany...

I would be very interested to see a document like that.. I have looked over close to 100 documents and two reference books and I can’t find a single instance of BRONCE spelling...

Thank you...

Here is the document from the Italian website

I do not have a good feeling about the unsigned documents in this thread, but I knew I had seen bronze spellt bronce on an original document or two in my collection. I found at least one on a lowly Driver's Badge document so IMO, that spelling did exist although not the norm, Chris

The APB document is a type 1, but usually the Kurt von Gottberg documents were of the type 2 (classfification in the Anti-Partisan Badge book).
The stamp too is a little different from the one usually encountered on the von Gottberg signed documents (Der hohere SS-u. Pol.-Fuhrer * Russland Mitte * 1).
Von Gottberg signature is perfectly matching with the one on the already mentioned document of 21 Juni 1944 for the Oberwachtmeister der Sch.d.R. (same doc showed in my book), but IMO a much more better close up is needed, nowdays is very difficult to distinguish between a high quality print fake and an original hand made signature.
Not a one looker fake, not a one looker original IMO.

About the word "bronce" instead "bronze", as Hank already stated, it was used. There are several examples of period documents where the word "bronce" is used. All the advanced paper collectors know this.

Tha APB doc without signature on my site was found in a lot of 10. Giel knows more about this finding that happened several years ago.

Last thing: I found a web site were they offered for sale top quality fake documents, some of them were scanned from my book and they are perfect copies (if I find the link I will post it here).
