Default Blumentarn Parka 1st pattern 1959

Hello,

it's been a while since someone has shown a Blumentarn uniform here at the WAF.

I'd like to show a very nice and rare 1st pattern example from 1959.
It's a large size "3" which fits me perfect (I'm 6.1 ft / 186 cm, 194 lbs / 88 kg).

The jacket is complete and original in all parts.
It is far from being mint but shows just honest outdoor service wear.

I've tried to take good pictures of the jacket, showing all the details like the small wooden pegs, metal & wooden buttons, the metal clamps close to the hood, the leather patches on the inside, etc.

I won't beat around the bush, this jacket will be for sale at the Estand within the next couple of days.
In case that one of you guys here at the DDR forum is interested in the parka, just drop me a line or check the Estand this weekend.

If you'd like to see / know something specific, just ask your question.

Regards, Matthias

Nice jacket but it must be 2nd pattern because it hasn’t got the two vertical breast pockets anymore!

I think the front vertical pockets were eliminated after 1958, the same time they stopped using the DDR I marking.

Nothing Special, just to secure the rolled up Hood.
