Default "Kitchen appliance" of the Wehrmacht - Solia universal machine

Hi Guys,

On the last day of this year's Normandy D-Day trip I got a FU53 (Iron Portion) box. (Information here: https://nachrichtentruppe.de/9-alle-...iserne-portion)

In this box was an old kitchen grater which I paid no attention at first, since I was only concerned with the box.

When I unpacked them in the evening, I barely trusted my eyes, because some of the parts are stamped WaA.
The machine is definitely untouched and not postmarked.
Has anyone ever seen something like that?

Best regards,

Stefan

Hi,
There is no reason for having some WaAmt on such item. If not, I would be interested what is weapon related in this machine.
Best regards

Common sense that only weapons show Waa markings...

That's imho not correct.
The WaA and BAL-Stamps were for "Waffen UND Gerät" as described in german.
For weapons and equipment.
For example waa-stamps on lanterns, hooks, tools.

I was also a bit wondered because I never saw a waa stamp on something like this.

Kind regards,

Stefan

I'm guessing that the handset for my Waffenamt marked FF33 could be used as a club. Therefore, technically making it a weapon. : ) BTW, nice food processor.
