I should mention that the NCO in the photos is identified. His memoir helped to form the basis for Michael Melnyk's two volume history, 2016, of the division. A scan of the veteran's soldbuch can be found on page 313 of The History of the Galician Division of the Waffen SS. Volume 2: Stalin's Nemesis.

I just want to publicly thank galizien41 for helping me to research the photo album. After I contacting the author, I was put in touch with the leading expert on the Ukrainian veterans who remained in Scotland in the late 1940s. It turns out he knew the owner of my photo album! Now there is a name and the story of this man's life will be preserved.
