Default Michał "plaut" Pniewski

Dear Imperial collectors,

Our friend Michał Pniewski, known here as "plaut," has passed away.

The family has asked for some time to attend to his affairs before making details public, but there is a thread for us to post comments here, and of course this one.

I remember when Michał got this bar, how excited he was, so I will post it here in memory of him:

I considered Michał a good friend and we emailed each other often. Our collecting interests were virtually identical, and over the years our conversations moved beyond collecting to life in general: family, work, etc.

His expertise will be missed on the forum and I'll miss his emails.

I always hoped to meet Michał but that is not to be.

I always enjoyed his posts and I recently got to hear of what a wonderful guy he was when I met up with Kornel in Manhattan.

Thoughts and best wishes to his memory and his family.

I'm very sad to hear this news. He sold me several nice items and was a pleasure to deal with.

Deepest sympathies to his family.

A truly sad loss , Michel was among those who I credit for my collecting focus. A wealth of information and a great person to interact with here on WAF.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Heart felt sympathies,
Scott

I knew him as from WAF as from a polish website........

I just can't belive......

Thank you Trevor for this information. But I wish that it never happened.

May the good Lord take care of him.

My God, he was so young. How sad. I purchased a very nice 1939 EK2 from him once.

May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family and friends.
