Default Unknown canvas pouch - Wehrmacht .. ?!

Someone showed me this pouch today , but I have never seen one like it . Leather strap / stud combo looks German to me , but .. ?

Thick breadbag canvas , roughly the size of a gasmask container , maybe a bit bigger .

Thats it, a rope throwing bag, as used by fire fighters. Often offered as paratrooper gasmask bag...
