what do you think of this German phone? it looks like modl 33. It is dated 1939 inside the handset.
I found it with a German desk phone dated 1943.
Thank you for your opinions
Beh

German Railroad Phone, based on the Modell FF 33. The inscriotion Kempten Hbf. means: Kempten (a city in Germany) Hbf (Hauptbahnhof - main station). In German these modells ( I know three from this time period: Bakelit case like the FF33, wooden case and yours with leather) called Streckenfernsprecher. Sorry I didn`t knew the english word. I hope this help you a little bit.

Best Regards from Germany

Roger

No Problem, if I can help. The first modell ? I thought not, there are surely other Streckenfernsprecher in use before this. But Railway Phones are not my main construction Place, so I can only guess how many and which kind used before this. Rare ? Not so common like a FF33m but they come from time to time. Time Period ? Start of construction sure like the FF 33 in 1934/35 ending not sure past I knew postwar produced modells. If I have to guess, I will say sometimes in the 60`s.

Gruss

Roger
