Originally they used guy wires made of rope, these were replaced with steel examples later in the war. A problem with steel wires is that the radio waves can induce high currents in the wires, which create losses and reduces the efficiency of the antenna. These currents can be stopped by making sure that the length of the wire is short in relation to the wavelength of the radio waves. For this reason they inserted porcelain insulators are regular intervals, it stops these parasitic currents from flowing in the guy wires. These guy wires exist in various lengths and with small and larger insulators. Yours seems to have the larger type of insulators and I estimate the length to be 7.5 meters, this type was typically used for a relatively heavy mast such as the KM8 or KM9 Kurbelmasts.
