Default Panzer Toolbox

Guy local thinks he has a toolbox off some model German tank. Could it be?

Well, it seems to be German, and a tool box, but not necessarily Wehrmacht or panzer. You would need something else; ordnance colour paint or some stencil saying it was panzer tool box or wehrmacht property or some maker's stamps. See one I found for Luftwaffe mechanic:

At least, the Logo was used in the 1940's but also into the 1950's.
My feeling goes more to Civil than Miltary.

Seems they've being producing tools since 1884:

The firm still exists, so the box could just be a plain civilian one, as mentioned.
