Default Meybauer observer "Black Beauty"

Dear all!
I would like to introduce my latest aquisition :
An observer badge by Meybauer, stamped with "800" for the silver content.
It has developed a very dark patina over the last 100 years, making it´s appearance somewhat special.
The last photo shows the difference - compared to a mint brother made of silvered tombak.
I hope you like it!
Regards
Hagrid

Very nice, Hagrid! Love the patina and the swollen Meybauer pin!

Very attractive example and fairly rare or at least hard to find.

Is is just the light or is the red enamel diferent tones between the two that you posted?

It´s just the light...

...tried to do some artistic photowork - inspired by Dansson

Missed it, of sorts.

Great patina. I like it, playing with the camera is one of my favourite hobbies!

The badge looks great, the dark patina speaks for the high silver content.
