Default Need help identifying this rifle

I had a guy send me some photos of a rifle he has for sale. He doesn't know what it is or the value of it either. I don't know either, so I need your help if you can figure out what this is and a ballpark value. Thanks in advance.
Dave

I would say the same. Berthier with "sporterized" stock.

Hi Dave, it's a french Berthier sporterized. It is commonplace in France after war. Nowadays, we still find 98k, G43, mas36 and other rifles which modified woods.

A butchered Berthier. Value would be very little in my opinion.
