This style of side suspension is a very early type, usually associated with pre-nation Germany. It is missing some vertical straps on the back side. The "FR" is only used by the Garde du Corps, as far as Paul Pietsch's works seem to indicate. My best guess is that this is an 1890's reproduction of a post-Napoleonic period Prussian or Garde du Corps cartouche, used as part of the tradition's days ceremonial uniforms.

This kind of stamp indicates that it is a piece of the so-calles "Kasseler Fundus".

The Staatstheater (state theater) in the city of Kassel has had a waste collection of original, partly original and reproduction Prussian uniforms and equipment. All this stuff gets sold a lot of years ago ...
