Default Uniform Removed Afrika Cuff Opinion

Hello All:

I purchased this cuff title today at a Pennsylvania gun show. It appears to be uniform removed and is faded. Could I have some opinions as to its authenticity? I appreciate the help.

It appears to be an original cuff title in not so good condition. I don't see any evidence of it being stitched to a uniform however.

I agree it is original yet I also doubt it was ever sown on a uniform.

It probably was not sewn to a uniform. The strands are probably just loose from age. Regardless, thank you for the comments.

Original no problem. Bit of stain thats all. Like most not worn on a tunic. Nice pick up from a gun show.

I'd like me too to know why this cufftitle should be an original. It has nothing in common with the original patterns.

Actually this type of cufftitle is a post war production, with wrong type of embroidery on a wrong base fabric. And I can add that sometimes this type of fabric used for reproductions shows a reinforcement on the back side.

I have attached a few more pictures under natural light. Is it an original or post war? If it is post war it is old. It has that old must you get from old cloth.

I can prove these fabrics are postwar.
See attached pictures, same fabric for postwar fake cufftitles, especially Afrika, with different embroidery, and no one of them of course is matching with wartime originals.

And yes, I confirm at 100 your CT is not good.

Odd palm trees too, probably just stained to make it look old.

I contacted the seller who is reputable and he offered the cost of this minus what I paid for the CT. Before I delve any further I would like to share this.

This one on the jacket is a fine original one.
