Default B.H. Mayer or Otto Schickel

Hello fellow collectors, I would like to hear your opinion on this badge.

I bought this badge has a Otto Schickel marked L/15 by a well-known web dealer. I got it yesterday and I thought I got the wrong badge. Wrote to the dealer and got the answer that they see it as a textbook Otto Schickel.

To me the black wound badge is made by B.H. Mayer and is poorly marked L/18, but I would like to hear your opinion before I sent it back.

Thank you!

Rasmus

Could be normal Mayer marked Schickle BWB since Otto Schickle was ordered to sell its stock in mid 1941. Mayer and Zimmermann are 2 of the known companies that remarked their Shickle bought stock awards and marked them with their own LDO markings. I have never compared a Schickle and a Mayer side by side but i wouldn´t be surprised if they match in design

To me this is a textbook Mayer with a misstamped L/18 mark where the upper part of the "8" is missing (have a look at the "L" where the upper part is missung too).

I agree with Andreas. It's quite typical to have this not complete makermark on these badges.

I agree, a typical Mayer in every aspect.
