Default Westwal medal with a very interesting makers marked bag !

Hello Collectors,

I won some medals at a auction, and got them today. Among them was this very interesting Westwal medal packet. The medal is not makers marked, and is in very good condition, as is the ribbon.

The packet is where things get interesting. I have had a couple of them all makers marked Carl Poellath. This one is not. I do not know for sure what maker is listed on the packet, and I have never seen one like this before ! I hope to get some imput on it !

Thanks alot !

Chris

Hi Chris,

Nice medal, ribbon, and packet. The maker on the packet is Peter Wilhelm Heb of Lüdenscheid.

Best regards,
Tom

Hi Chris

Nice set

I have one with the same maker designation.

Although Poellath are the most common, there are quite a few other maker marked westwall packets. Happy hunting

best regards
Graeme

Chris,
I don't know all of the makers of West Wall medals, but I do know that of the Gablonz makers, at least the following two made them because I have seen packets marked to them.

Josef Rossler & Co
Anton Markovsky’s Sohn
