Default It's so nice when you

Are able to complete a set. Especially when they are very hard to come by pieces and patience is always tested. I was able to win a silver balloon badge on ebay to complete my very early balloon badge set.

Regards,
Rudy

The seller sent this as well. Maybe our German friends can give a summary translation.

Translation.

Oak leafs instead of a swastika.
All former soldiers that intend to wear their WW2 decorations to ceremonial occasions again will have to obtain "new patterns".
According to a plan of laws for the wearing of medals and decorations from the Bundesinnenministerium, that will be discussed by the parliament, the designs will be as shown in our photo.
The swastika has made way for oak leafs with the fateful date of their new issue 1939 below.

Thanks guys. I tried to show the group together but the picture must have been too big and didn't have the time to correct. I will today.

Skip - appreciate the translation.

Hi Rudy!!
Glad you got that one, a very nice early piece, and always great to complete a "set"!!
The newspaper article is very interesting, especially the date, this may have been one of the earliest announcements regarding the details and description of the forthcoming 57ers! A great bonus!!!!!!!!!!
