Default Franco-Prussian War Museums

Has anyone been to this museum;

http://www.moselle-tourism.com/en/vi...ravelotte.html

If I make it over to the Kassel Show this fall, I might head that way.

I went by this museum in 2016 after Kassel;

While it was listed as open on their website, when I was there it was "closed for renovations".

Hi there,

I visited the Museum at Gravelotte a few weeks ago, its well worth it and costs you just a fiver to get in. They opened the place in 2014 for the 100th anniversary.

The one in Woerth is much smaller and older, but the place has its own charme with the wooden stairs etc. Not bad either.

If you like to do the one at Gravelotte and have some more time, go to Diekirch in Luxemburg as well. We did both at the same day and it was no problem, less than one hour drive between the places.

Kind regards,
Harry

Hi Harry, I went to the Diekirch museum in 2007, but as I was not really interested in the 1871 era at the time, I don't recall what they had from that period.

The museum in Wörth was recommended to me by some Prussian Needle Gun collectors at Kassel, as they apparently have some rare accessories on display. So, will try again one day.

Thanks!
