Default Wooden box for six Fe 37 filters?

I met a guy who took an Fe 37 filter from a German bunker site in the 1960s. He remembered there were multiple filters stored in wooden boxes. He only took one filter and the broken cover with him.

Does anyone know how multiple filters were packed. It looks like six could be stored in one (round) box.

Are you sure it was a FE37 and not a CoFE39?

I know the CoFE39 filters were shipped in a round metal crate with wooden lids.....

Will look if i have a picture...

Hi Tom,

Yes the filter he still has is a Fe 37. But I saw you mentioned the CoFE39 in another topic:

Quote:
As far as I know now, they were issued to coastal artillery units, and were used on the gasmasks with the micro anschluss, for the "Feuerleit" soldiers.
The place where he picked it up was packed with both infantery bunkers, Marineflak and a Marine Batterie so that would fit. It's been 50 years, and maybe it was just a pile of 'junk' with all kinds of filters around.

Those were the times..

Hope you find a picture!
