As I posted on germandaggers, this DID come from sshonorring.com, not from some knock off site using an "s" at the end. Try to type that in, and nothing comes up about rings. It came from a guy named Russ.

It was sent unfinished on accident I am being told.

They tried to move in on my friend Russ site which is ( www.sshonorring.com ) . It looks the same but they added an S to their website. I have no idea who they are or even were they are from. Let the people know. Regards Don."

G -Man , there is no such site listed as www.sshonorrings.com ? I can't imagine that ring pictured would get much better 'finished' or not
Mate get your money back and get one from Hapur

Here is an example of Hapurs work as made for me about 3 years ago. Perhaps some of you saw this example being crafted as he took everyone through the actual process used by the Gahr's on another forum. I have always felt the quality was exceptional and the ring a good value.
However Hapur seems to have dropped out of sight

That Hapur ring looks pretty good. And I agree, polishing the ring I have is not going to fix all of its flaws, and it will never look like that Hapur ring.

I have worn my Hapur ring every day for 4 or 5 years or so. He is back again and this time has changed the skull slightly by the way.
I asked him to add wear to mine, I can't wear a swastika and over obvious skull for work! Then when it came I sanded it a little more myself to get the look I was after

He wasn't too far off, skull a little chunky, but I think he has recified that. I might get another! His engraving inside is super nice as well

Sorry terrible pics it looks better on the finger!

Jon:
I have the very first ring he made for sale and watched it being crafted on GDC. Has it really been 5 years??
BTW: My ring looks different from when I 1st received as the skull was in fact a little(actually quite) chunky. I carefully reshaped it using an actual honor ring skull as a guide. The above picture was taken after I reshaped the skull.
However: If I posted a picture taken today my ring would still look virtually the same even after 5 years of constant use showing very little wear wear. Hapur insisted that he was using Sterling (925) silver to craft these rings.. My point is if the originals were crafted from essentially the same purity of pure silver why did they wear so rapidly?
I'd be interested in any opinions here?
Jim

Jon , I'm just relaying from Don... Here is Dons response and the last from me about this:

Gaspare: Evidently it was Russ and this is what he e-mailed . Tell the man Russ will give him the Meyer ring is replacement of the lesser Kroger Ring he ordered . Russ is a straight shooter and made an honest mistake and he is willing to correct it . Please let the forum members know this and also the man who purchased the ring. The Meyer Rings are very nice the Kroger ring he ordered is not that great compared to the Meyer ring. Problem taken care of . Let me know how he made out. regards Don

I am "the man", and an agreement has been reached. As I stated on GDC...

"Yes, Russ has offered the more expensive ring, or a refund. I didn't purposely try to make it look like he was being dishonest. Things were not settled yet until about an hour ago.

An unfinished ring was sent on accident, then there was some mis-communication going around."
