I thought I would add a couple of things to this thread.
First the rear cone to a parachute mine, it had been used in a garden, for plants, and that is when it got it's black paint (only on about 80% of the outside).
And the canister pin from a AB-36 incendiary container.

Very nice Gary, thanks for posting. I like the tag on the rod with the history to it.

A friend of mine in the UK had a parachute mine cone in his collection. We were in the middle of working out a deal for me to buy it and a few other items, when he suddenly passed away. Sadly his collection was broken up and the cone has gone missing. Here is a picture of it.

Another friend said there was a complete parachute mine in the Imperial War Museum when we visited there several years ago, but I do not remember seeing it.

Nice Lassi. Is there any history behind that piece like the plane it came from or where it crashed?

Hello
It is not from a crash site, it was dug by me Here in Denmark at a former lw airfield. Postwar the plaines were destroyed and som scrap parts can still be found. Low to dig there and no dead boddies laying around .

Also found the Keys for setting the bombs.

Cheers
Lars
