Default Luftwaffe turret on a wh wagen!!!

I am restoring turrets like this and came across this pic wich shows a wh vehicle with a turret on , the turret is probably a HDL 151 / 20 wich looks like this in reality and used on JU 188 and ME232. best chris

I might be missing something, but I can't see a turret in that picture at all. I can just see a standard Sd.Kfz. 251/17 with a 2cm Flak 38 mounted on it.

Not sure what the "hoop" is, but I don't think it's part of a turret.

Default Hoop

If you mean the hoop behind the guy, it is for the top that is rolled up behind him.

Folks,

The gun is a 151/20. You can even see the belt fed ammo.

Yep, I agree MG151/20, but i can't see the turret components well. Perhaps it is not complete?

Default Turret

No it has probably been adjusted for use on the vehicle, so the plexiglas hood is removed but the rest is there! best Chris

I believe it is called a Mauserwagen....

100% it is an MG151 aircraft turret...as they are documented as such.

Yes for sure it is a turret from a aircraft but not 20 mm but it is 15 mm MG151...and here is pic of the turret in 2 aircrafts...

DO24 with MG 151 /15 mm this was also on the FW 200 condor and the HDL 151 / 20 mm on the Junker 188 this was also on ME 232 for example.

Best chris
