A color picture of "Der Alte"... a person who Hans Guhr admired and respected very much. Also, as said before on the thread, Guhr was a close aide during the first years of Adenauer's government.

Footage from the Filmothek-Bundesarchiv (Films of the German Federal Archive) displaying the moment when Robert Schuman grants an interview for Hans Guhr on his way to Villa Hammerschmidt to meet Konrad Adenauer.

A very important document was signed by the presents in that meeting, including Schman, Adenauer, Anthony Eden (British Foreign Minister) and Pan Heuss.

In the closing speech, Adenauer stands up and says: "we Germans remember in this hour particularly welcome our brothers in the East. We send our greetings to them. And we assure you that we deeply believe that we cause the first step with this work of German reunification in peace and freedom".

(Part 2 to come)
Continuing...

We are hiking for six days and finally, on 24 October, we arrive at Hof Spiegelberg in Lauenstein. On 12 November, we move into our little "Püffchen" at the ladies of Busse.

On December 9, our “Tütti” is baptized. Thereby she behaves like a wiener dog, is happy when everybody is standing around her. 13 December: our gold daughter can stand upright! -- with compressed buttocks, just like a Prussian corporal.
The basket has now become too small, a cot is being purchased.
It’s not so easy with our daughter, she doesn’t seem to care much about decency and good manners. Eventually, on 31 January 1946, we achieve a small success, Brigitte went potty!

31 January 1946: “Tütti” is already creeping forward. And a month later, she already stands upright in her cot, letting out sounds like "Mammamama", just for self-employment.

Once again two months later and our daughter already risks her first small steps (13 April 1946). A little selection of the respective names, which the poor fellow had to put up with: Tütti, Biene (alte), Nusha, Nuschespinne, Englein, Döfi, Herzensblutchen, Müpperchen, Müppi...

First attempt to write to Hans Guhr (13.01.1946)

Another famous RKT and General in the Postwar BW: Heinrich Gaedcke (1905 - 1992) was awarded the Knight's Cross on 07.04.1944, as Chef des Generalstabes XI.Armeekorps. He finished the war as Generalmajor.

After the war he joined the Bundeswehr in 1956 (as Brigadegeneral) and served until 1965, where he reached the final rank of Generalleutnant.

Just one more famous personality that Hans Guhr met after the war.
