Default LW Sword Hanger Original?

Hi Gents

Please can i ask your assistance on this as I have no knowledge on this type of item. Is this an original LW Sword Hanger? It is marked M 1940 on the back.

It is original. It is part of a Luft. sword over the shoulder hanger.
