LAH Pennant
Hello everyone, this pennant was shown in a Facebook group. I know you can’t tell anything about it from the image, but I’m wondering if anyone is familiar with this type. I don’t recall ever seeing it before. The glare in the photo looks like it’s coming off the pennant, so I’m assuming it’s metal. Thanks....

Thanks as always, OFW. Have you ran across these very much? Seems as though only 2 examples have been asked about here in the entire history of the forum. If they are actually that rare, I’m assuming it’s rather high dollar. If you have seen them, do you recall approximately how much they sold for or were asking?
Regards,
Joel

I know my friend in Belgium owned one also and as far as I know it was part of the big stolen collection from early September 2017.
The LAH-pennant from the collection had some damaging at the tip, as far as I remember. There were rust stripes in the last 10,0 cm or so!
Also the bend over edge from the widest side had damaging, but different as shown here.

... no. Per WAF t=504179 "I don't collect pennants,
as they are so often faked. But if I did, chain stitched
examples would be the type I would seek out." Only
fender pennants I have are a couple given to me for
free by WW2 GI vets who sadly have now passed on.
And also some on screen used Hollywood move types.
(below) Hollywood metal fender pennant example in my collection.

OFW, you said you collect flags used in movies now? Would you mind saying what your favorites are that you own? Thanks!

Joe:
Thank you for asking. See WAF t=892101 and as shown
below - in short action film flags & Roman movie standards.
On right: First Roman Army Standard seen in Ben Hur 1959, right after
MGM Lion Logo. Berlin made for use in silent Ben Hur 1925. Once part
of the now legendary 1970 MGM Studio property liquidation auction,
where they sold the Time Machine, and the JG Ruby Slippers of Oz.
Center: Roman Eagle design period original Fascist Italian standard,
WW2 GI captured in Rome. Found in a S.F. Calif. junk shop for $100.
Left: Like the Ben-Hur standard, but used in other MGM productions.

Those are great. I REALLY like the Ben Hur flag.
