Default Burlap netted camo M35

Gents , I'd like show this very rare bird..Picked up this war dog recently, found in old house in Koenigsberg area week ago, untouched and uncleaned / Cover/net never been removed.

Seems LW based on inner paint and chinstrap marking . SE64 with lot 6323

tropical camo underneath burlap cover, almost 100% paint there, no decals visible from angles which I can look under the cover.

Enjoy

And I have some questions regarding burlap/net ...are they German or Allies ? Burlap seems was greenish but became yellow due the wear..only in hidden places still left green.

Superb Sergey! Congrats! Would love to have something found in Königsberg.

As to the burlap/ net; impossible to know for sure. The net appears to have some rayon in it. What do you think?

Thanx Willi, I also very glad to have it.

If you need something from Königsberg - I can help, but sorry not FJ netted helmet

I don't know why it's so shiny but seems no rayon used for net and burlap, burlap more likely made from very thin dry grass ( straw) , looks all natural and very fragile , can be damaged very easy... in case of used any sintethic they wouldn't be so damaged at some points , just my thoughts...

Very interesting helmet.

New Zealand soldiers where particularly keen on this type (sack cloth) of cover and it was a NZ issue helmet cover in WW2.

Obviously not this particular example but similar.

Thanks gents !
Mike many thanks for pix and info, definitely very informative, this sack cover very similar if compare the cloth..green color also could be added by soldier but gone away after long wear.
And I love an idea it could be used at DAK theather..no proof but very possible..

Also thank to guy who found it that didn't take cover off while he wanted do this before we contacted about helmet/

Forgot to say , the helmet is named to May and some blood stains well visible ..first time see Y with umlaut used/

That's no problem, Vlad. All we are usually a little bit sceptical when see similar uncommon items at first time
