If there is green in the leather, that would indicate blood. After blood settles in organic material like leather, it gestates into a fungi and turns the spots affected a green color after a process of photosynthesis. Thanks for sharing! Beautiful helmet

No offense, but the above is complete hogwash. I have never seen that happen and even if it ever did happen, it is certainly the exception.
