Cliff,

No offense but that would sound like a fairy tell, kinda story some sellers loved to spread before.
By the way Lot Nr is in the 5K range, too high for a M42 for seing service in Afrika, even if we know that some M42's were there.

Nothing much looks good on this one, way too many questions such as paint, lack of liner retaining pin backup washers, age of painted name on rear inside......no not for me.
