Hi all,

Can anyone read what is written here? I see the date at the end but the first part? Also there seems to be a name written...looks like Paul?IMG_20190518_101248.jpgIMG_20190518_101317.jpgIMG_20190516_181007.jpg

That’s a tough one. First word looks like “August”. Can’t say for the rest.

Now, it could prove interesting to follow this up with a name and outfit. Hopefully you will be able to find out more information about the recipient. I would be interested to hear of what the name might throw up.
Regards
Norman

Thanks for all the help. August Zier it seems to be!

Given the cross looks unworn, could it be a posthumous award? Would there be any websites that I could pursue?
