Hallo Discus

Just a guess because this is not my field of collecting.

A badge of the Hungarian or Czech/Slovak anti-aircraft artillery.

Best regards

I think enorepap is in the correct area. The leaves on the badge are definitely Czech but the eagle looks Hungarian.

Regards,

Gordon

It's a Czechoslovak air force qualified badge from 30's.
The Balloon Pilot or The Balloon Observer (odznak pilota balonu nebo odznak pozorovatele z balonu).

I can't discern/distinguish golden and silver colors on your photos, but the golden falcon is always the balloon pilot and the silver falcon is always a balloon observer.

There is 6 main variants of these badges (except miniatures with needle or prototypes and rare subtypes) produced in the years 31, 36 or 38 by two czechoslovak makers. The differences between these variants are mainly in the combination of golden/silver color on cannons, falcon and wreath, in the different badge size (height 55 or 61mm) and in small details (slightly different shape of the wings, etc.).

Some of these variants are rare. There are also reproductions/fakes, but your badge looks like a nice original!

Direct link doesn't work, so go to: "odznaky 1923-1953" and "Pilot a pozorovatel z balonu".
