Default Detail

What is interesting is that it is a wartime blouse but still has original piping around the collar.

Default Dagger Hanger

Here is an interesting detail from the blouse posted above; an added dagger hanger. The hanger is made from a waist buckle as used on jump pants, and though you probably can't tell from the photo, the fabric used to attach the buckle is the same grey-green as jump pants.

Hi John, I like the blouse too

Worn by a dashing and very fashion conscious NCO no doubt; shortened length blouse, piping added around the collar (a few years after this had been abandoned too judging from the Rb numbered blouse) plus a dagger hanger too. Great stuff!

Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Adrian,

These were my thoughts as well. The blouse is dated 42 or 43, the date stamp is smeared and difficult to read. Because of the condition of this blouse, I think the Feldwebel owner had two blouses, a "field" blouse, and this one with piping and a dagger hanger for "walking out." The badge and bar are on original loops.

Regards,
John

Very small but unissued Fliegerbluse. Everything exactly as brought home by the GI. Interesting that the collar tabs are machine sewn but no gulls yet. The boards are very late-war and the wool is a perfect match.
