This one is not so cool as the previous one.... but the "Spiess" armsleeve on this M.44 Tunic is somehow interesting too.

AWESOME photo of the m44 deer spies with piston rings and collar tress. There was a lot of debate on whether this set up ever existed being against regs and all.....

That is a very nice image. I had the chance to buy a M44 like the one shown and passed as I could not be certain it was wartime applied. I should have bought it and in hindsight it probably was okay.

I snagged one almost identical but with a somewhat narrower collar and with an enlisted alder on triangular backing. Originally showed up on Anthony Jessen' site then came up for sale again in 2010. This photo makes me very happy!!

This photo of a Grenadier taken very late in the war shows two interesting features; the embroidered M-43 cap insignia (as opposed to the usual BEVO) and a rare ersatz printed breast eagle on the M-44:

Closer Views. There are 2 German Croox Beares on these Pics, the young Lieutenant and an Oberfeldwebel from the "Feldherrnhalle". By the Way, if anybody could identify any of them, I would really appreciate it ! Thanks, and enjoy these nice Views of this rare late Tunic !!

The Feldwebel pictured here is providing information to an Allied intelligence officer concerning positions around Haguenau, according to the caption. This M-44 also appears to be made from captured Italian gaberdine:

Perhaps this pic of a Luftwaffen-Helferin wearing a M44 jacket is also of interest, even if one cannot see too much of the tunic:
