Default Leuchtquarz from Torn.Fu.b1,c,f,k

Does anyone know what the exact frequencies were of the quartz lamp in these transceivers?

Thank you. I checked there, but that site gives different values. Can folks please check their own units for the number?

The manual just gives the wavelength of the Leuchtquarz: 64 meter; which equates to 4684 Khz. This corresponds to the calibration mark on the transmitter scale for both the b1 and the f. I have not checked but I assume the 'k" is identical to the "f". I have not been able to find anything on the "c" yet but definately lower.

Is this frequency the same on all the crystals or does it change slightly between each one?

There might be small variations; typical Leuchtquarz variation seems to be within +/- 1 kHz. With age this might increase somewhat.

The frequency is a bit off.

They seem a fraction off, but I am sure they will do. I tried to check the value on a Torn.Fu that I have easy access to but all the internal panel screws are still originally sealed so I did not want to break them....

The Leuchtquarz on this example is nearly legible: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...88&postcount=1

There are some others coming up on a "Leuchtquarz Torn.Fu" google search showing 4685.3 kHz and even 4691.4 kHz, so it seems that the ones on Ebay fall within an acceptable spread.

hello
i check mine ,
4.684,5 khz
4.679,5 khz
4.682,5 khz

i guess the 3.050 khz from norvegian schematic , is not correct
i suppose they manufacture xtals , then measure them
and then they let match the red mark on dial with the exact frequency.
about torn fu C i just have the manual D929/5 they indicate
red mark on dial as 1.800 khz, frequency range of torn fu c is
for transmitter 1.500 till 2.300 khz so 1.800 khz is logical
