Default Fu30a

Just acquired a box for my Fu30a set but it's missing the internal compartment. I can easily reconstruct that, but does anyone have a list of the accessory items I need to locate to complete the set, and also a copy manual?

Thanks

Dave

Apart from the two optical instruments, the Fu 30a contains:

5 spare lightbulbs 2,5V
2 connection cables for the lights
1 plumbline
1 cleaning cloth
1 "Klarinol" cloth in pouch (demisting agent)
1 screwdriver
1 cleaning brush
1 Booklet

I will scan the manual for you when I find some time....

regards,

Funksammler

In case you wonder what the plumbline was used for, here some pics that demonstrate how it is used to set up the EP/2 antenna vertically:

Yuri and Funksammler,

Superb, many thanks. More bits to start the hunt for...! I would guess the connecting cables and plumb line will be the hardest to locate.

Interestingly, the use of the plumbline is not mentioned at all...

Thanks for your reply Funksamler.
I knew you had a lot of information about this.
It had been very fun to test this in practice.

This Fu 30A will soon be arriving into my collection.

Sorry for the klunky photos. They are from the auction. Once the unit is in my hands I will do a better photo spread.

I have a few questions.

Mine is missing the web pouch for the cloth, the wee screw driver & the 2 cables with the points on the ends (like headphone jacks) can anyone help me locate these missing items??

I've downloaded the Photobucket fix but a few of them are still not loading from this thread.

I would love to see the picture of how the Plumb Bob is used

Next question, how were these two units powered? Did they have their own batteries or did they share power of the radio?

Thanks in advance guys for all of your help. Looking forward to setting this up & getting it as complete as I can.
