What is your opinion on this helmet ?

It is an original 1943 G&S but it has been repainted at some time. It has a very strange rivet pattern on the buckle side, I doubt this is original. The net is a recent addition.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

That is what I thought. Can this strange setup be a factory error? Or a replacement on the ground? What I see is that it is very well done, and the hole of the third rivet is absent.

Do you know what could be the burns on the leather inside?

The more I look at it, the more I dislike the rivets on the buckle side. They are not like known originals. I doubt it was made that way at the factory.

I agree, this strap has been replaced and the shell has been repainted.
