Default SOS pick-up - my first LW badge! (GAB)

I went to the SOS show with a few items on my wish list, which included a nice Ground Assault Badge. Attached is my first LW Badge (Muk5). I thank Sebastien Talbot for taking the time to look at this badge (at the show). It was my first SoS, so I was a bit overwhelmed.

I don't know why I chose the Ground Assault as my first LW badge... I just think they look neat, so that is my starting point. I also picked up Sebastien's excellent 2 volume set of references, as well as Dietrich/Mario's book on the EK2 - Very good references!

Cheers - Dan

Nice badge. I am sure it will not be your last Luftwaffe badge! Welcome to the addiction!

Best wishes

Always nice to get a first badge, but the good references are the critical step if you continue to collect. And seeing examples of original badges at shows are up there with the references. Best of collecting in the future!

That’s an outstanding Muk5, hard to upgrade this one. Well done on a successful SOS.

That's an outstanding example. Congratulations. You did great for your first foray into LW badges.
